Amanda Jane "Aj" Buelow

Amanda Jane Buelow, known affectionately as AJ, passed away on Friday, October 10, 2025, in Jackson, Michigan, at the age of 41. Born on November 7, 1983, in Coldwater, Michigan, Amanda lived a life defined by love, service, and devotion to her family.
Amanda was a proud graduate of Jonesville High School, Class of 2002. After high school, AJ dedicated her career to nursing, a profession that reflected her deep compassion and her calling to serve others. She earned her Bachelor of Science from Eastern Michigan University and her Master's in Nursing from the University of Indianapolis. She loved being a nurse and was proud to be part of a profession that allowed her to care for people with kindness and empathy, leaving a lasting impact on everyone she helped.
The greatest joy of Amanda's life was her children, Alex and Raegan. Whether cheering them on at their many sporting events or laughing together while playing yard games, AJ's heart was fullest when surrounded by her family.
She is survived by her loving husband, Brad; her cherished children, Alex and Raegan; her parents, Dave and Jane Raker; and her siblings, Carolyn and Steve Ewing, Dave and Nicole Raker, Susie Raker, Burt and Tammy Buelow, and Ashley Buelow. She also leaves behind a large and loving extended family of nieces, nephews and cousins. Her love and presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit lives on in those who knew and loved her.
A visitation to celebrate AJ's life will be held on Tuesday, October 14, 2025 from 4-8 PM at the VanHorn-Eagle Funeral Home in Hillsdale. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to support the education of her children.
Amanda will be remembered for her selfless heart, her blunt honesty, her unwavering love for her children, and the light she brought into the lives of everyone around her.
