Lila Rubel Obituary

Lila was a member of the Reading Rotary Club and the Reading United Methodist Church. She was also a Cub Scout leader and a teachers aide. Lila enjoyed doing upholstery work and spending time with her family.
Lila is survived by one son, Paul (Connie) Rubel of Alabama; five grandchildren, Aaron (April) Rubel, Thea (Troy) Vaughn, Kila Rubel, Lara (Al) Nordin, Cailen (Adam) Braund; and nine great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Chuck, Lila was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Marcia Rubel; two sisters, Pauline Beard, Margaret Chester; and one brother, Martin "Barney" Barnhart.
Funeral services for Lila M. Rubel will be held on Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at 11 AM at the Eagle Funeral Home-George White Chapel in Reading with Pastor Penny Nunn officiating. Interment will follow in Maplewood Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday from 4-7 PM at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Reading United Methodist Church.
