She loved the outdoors, especially fishing, hunting, camping, riding 4-wheelers and swimming. Her daughter, Faithlynn was her world; she loved to watch her swim and play baseball. She will be deeply missed.

Derouen (Christi); a daughter who was her pride and joy, Faithlynn Grace Derouen; a brother, Dustin Scott Derouen; half-brother, Brennan Scott Derouen; half-sister, Braylee Renee Derouen; maternal grandmother, Sharon Derouen Nunez; paternal grandmother, Sandra Schexnayder (Delton); step-grandfather, Alvin "Brud" Huval; godmother, Sandra Tran; godfather/ uncle, Kern Nunez; aunts, Connie Castille (Randy), Tisa Maturin (Mark), Heather Louviere, and Brandie Broussard (DeJean); nephews, Colton Thomas Derouen and Jude Fisher Derouen, and numerous cousins.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Doris S. Nunez; paternal grandfather, U.L. Derouen, Jr.; and step-grandmother, Terri D. Huval.

My condolences to Amanda´s family at this time of loss and grief. I was one of her nurses years ago . She was special and strong as was her mother who would accompany her to the hospital and, eventually, with her baby girl. My heart goes out to all of you!
