Amanda Ley "Mandy" Jarosh

Amanda Ley Jarosh (Mandy), 44, of Finleyville, PA, passed away peacefully after battling colon cancer on January 22, 2024.
She was born in Gettysburg, PA, in 1979 to Gordon and Diane Ley. She was the first of an unexpected set of twins. Mandy attended Fairfield Area High School before attending Indiana University of Pennsylvania. It was at college, she met her husband, Thomas Jarosh.
Mandy was preceded in death by her father, Gordon Ley, her grandparents, Lawrence and Joyce Ley, Glenn and Mildred Kepner, and James and Nancy Jean Hammett. She is survived by her mother, Diane Ley, her twin sister, Jessica Lee, her husband Thomas Jarosh, and her three children, Benjamin Jarosh, Bethany Jarosh, and Isabella Jarosh.
Mandy loved children. She worked at the daycare at St. James Lutheran Church, Gettysburg, PA, for several years during high school and college breaks. But her life was complete with the birth of her own children. She was a stay-at-home mom. Mandy was very smart, caring, and creative and that was reflected in the raising of her children. She did arts and crafts with them. She made sure they were able to have new and exciting experiences such as going to the zoo, Children's Museum, Carnegie Science Center or doing a scavenger hunt that Mandy created. She was also active with Bethany and Isabella with the Girl Scouts.
Mandy had a strong faith in the Lord. Through the many adversities she faced during her life, her faith never wavered. She trusted that God was with her in the good and the bad.
A service to celebrate Mandy's life will be held at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, McMurray, PA, on February 3, 2024 at 11am.
