The world is a little less happy now with the passing of Amanda LaDell Land "Mandy", 34, of White Cottage, who died June 28, 2024, at OSU Wexner Medical Center following a terrible liver infection.
Mandy was the daughter of Larry & Kathy Land of White Cottage; mother to Lauren age 7, and Emily age 5; step-mother to Camryn age 13; sister to Erik, Aiden, Zoey & Amber, and granddaughter to Tom & Elaine Pitcock of Zanesville.
She also leaves behind several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Mandy was greatly loved by all who knew her, especially her cat, King Jullian, and her dog, Jasper. She was a dear friend to many and will be dearly missed by everyone in her family.
Family & friends will gather at 10:00 AM, Saturday, July 6, 2024, at the Hillis, Combs & Nestor Funeral Home, 935 Forest Avenue, Zanesville, with a procession to Mt. Olive Cemetery, where Graveside Services will be held with Fr. David Young Officiating. Following the graveside service a reception will be held at the Knights of Columbus Hall in the Sunrise Center. There are no words. Manda, I just found out today that you went to be with the Lord. I didn't even know you were sick. You were my best childhood friend. I used to get so excited when your mom's white Suzuki would pull into our driveway because I knew we would get to play for hours and hours. I'll never forget all the Barbie games we played, all the trips to the lake, cookouts, sleepovers, Dixie Chicks, and that weird game we made up called "Rats" ...your name was Rat Butt, mine was Stinky, and my sister's was Floppy...haha! You taught me how to make sand houses with my foot. You had a great laugh and the best sense of humor. I think of you from time to time. I'm glad we got to reconnect on Facebook a few years ago...even if it's just Facebook, it's still something. Anyway, I love you so much and treasure all of our memories together. My childhood wouldn't have been as good without you. I hope you get lots of hugs from Jesus and save a seat for me up there! I look forward to the day we see each other again <3.
