Amelia Bannerman Obituary
Amelia T. Bannerman passed away at the age of 84, on August 8, 2024. She is preceded in death by her late husband Arthur Bannerman, parents Frank and Elizabeth Tassone : sister, Louise Ricciardi and grandson, Patrick. She is survived by her sons Arthur (Christine), Frank (Barbara), and daughter, Lisa (Joseph), and her niece and nephew, 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Also included as family would be her dear friends and aides who have supported us all through this journey. Amelia was a devoted and beloved matriarch who spent her entire life nurturing her family. She was always ready and willing to provide support to someone in need. She was a passionate educator for 35 years to gifted and talented children and had always shown love and concern for her students. She spent her retirement tutoring children and surrounded herself with her family. Amelia was a purely beautiful person inside and out. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her children and grandchildren and will be forever in our hearts.
The family will receive friends and relatives at Ralph Giordano Funeral Home on Sunday, August 11, 2024 at 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Theresa Church on Monday, August 12, 2024 at 9:45. Mrs. Bannerman will be laid to rest immediately after the funeral mass at St. Raymond's Cemetery.
Her care has been entrusted to Ralph Giordano Funeral Home.
