Amy Ruth Garza, 31, passed away on October 5, 2025, in Corsicana, TX. Born on November 24, 1993, in Corpus Christi, TX, Amy was a radiant soul whose vibrant spirit and infectious laughter brought joy to all who knew her.
Amy's life was a beautiful canvas painted with love, passion, and creativity. At the heart of her world was her beloved daughter, Ivyanna Resendez, her greatest joy and proudest legacy.
She was the cherished daughter of Ofelia Cervantes, who instilled in her the strength, resilience, and compassion that defined her life. Amy is also survived by her devoted brothers: Ramon Cervantes and his wife Michelle, Celso Garza, and Samuel Garza, who will always remember her as a guiding light and a sister who led with her heart.
She is also lovingly remembered by her grandmother, Angelita Montez, and her boyfriend, David Crispin, who will forever carry the sound of her laughter and the warmth of her presence. She was preceded in death by her father, Samuel Garza.
An artist at heart, Amy expressed herself through painting, photography, and design. Her artistic eye was reflected in everything she touched - from her thoughtfully decorated home to the way she captured beauty in the everyday. Her creativity knew no bounds, and she lived with a colorful passion that inspired all who knew her.
Amy had a gift for bringing people together. Known for her sharp wit and joyful spirit, she was often the life of the party - a natural comedian with a warm heart. She had a remarkable ability to make others feel seen, heard, and loved. Always the first to lend a helping hand or a listening ear, Amy's compassion was boundless.
Her cooking was legendary - especially her rice, which was declared "the best" by anyone lucky enough to try it. Whether in the kitchen, behind a camera, or in conversation, Amy poured love into everything she did.
Those who knew her would describe Amy as loving, kind, and endlessly creative. Her legacy is one of beauty - in her art, her words, and the way she cared deeply for those around her. Though her time with us was far too short, Amy's presence will live on through the lives she touched and the memories she leaves behind.
We invite all who loved Amy to join us in celebrating her life on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at the Corley Funeral Home Chapel, 418 North 13th Street, Corsicana, TX.
Amy Ruth Garza's life was a masterpiece - one of deep love, contagious laughter, and a soul that will never be forgotten.
