Amy Rogers, age 71 of Conyers, went home to Jesus Tuesday, December 24, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents, Glenn Parker Rhodes and Aetha McDonald Rhodes, and grandmother, Effie Rhodes. She is survived by her husband, Herman Glenn Rogers; children, Robert 'Robbie' Glenn Rogers, Tanya Rogers Ledbetter and Phillip Ledbetter, Joshua Kyle Rogers and Lexi Freeman; grandchildren, Kyrsten Ledbetter, Nathan Ledbetter; brothers, Bruce Rhodes and Dane Rhodes. Amy was a 1971 graduate of Columbia High School in Decatur. She was a long-time member of Trinity Baptist Church in Conyers. A devoted educator, she worked at Westminster Academy and Honey Creek Elementary. She was also a devoted artist. In recent years she created countless love rocks, which were hand painted and gifted to everyone she met. Amy was a certified master gardener and lover of nature. The family will receive friends Saturday, January 18, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Union Grove UMC at 575 Dixie Rd, Covington, GA 30014 or [email protected]. Condolences may be submitted online at www.scotward.com. I met Ms. Rogers because she was at Honey Creek Elementary during my son´s time there in the 90´s. She was a kind hearted woman and had brought joy to many children. God bless her family. She was a gift to many.
