Jonathan Marquez Jackson, affectionately known as "Joker" to his friends and family, passed away on August 5, 2024, at the age of 28. Born on July 25, 1996, in Newnan, GA, Jonathan's vibrant spirit and infectious laughter left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
Joker was a man of many passions, with a love for the outdoors that was evident in his enthusiasm for fishing. He was also an avid football fan. His ability to entertain and bring joy to gatherings was unparalleled, and his presence will be deeply missed.
Jonathan's educational journey included time spent at McNair High School and Columbia High School. His sense of humor was a hallmark of his personality, often bringing light and laughter into the lives of those around him.
He is survived by his beloved daughter, India Harris, and his cherished children, De'Asia Sinkfield and Jonathan Marquez Jackson Jr. Jonathan's memory will be treasured by his devoted friend, Shanquita Sinkfield, mother, Latrecia Jackson, and his father, Jonathan Whatley Jr. His sisters, Marquita Roach, Jennifer Powell, and Jessica Clark (Jhontrell), along with his brother, Johnny Jackson, will hold dear the times they shared. Jonathan's life was also enriched by the love of his aunt, Darlene P. Smith, and his dear cousins. His aunts, Percilla P. Graham (Bob Graham) and Clarice Mayes Byrd, as well as his extended family in Newnan, GA, will remember him fondly.
His mother, Donna Faye Powell-Bolton, whom he now meets in eternal life, leaves behind a legacy of love and family that Jonathan embodied every day. He will be remembered as a doting uncle to his six grandchildren, Karson Micah Noel Clark, Jhontrell Durante Clark Jr, Jonathan Marquez Jackson Jr, India Harris, Skyler Powell, and Marquazavios William Powell, and as a cherished nephew to his Aunt Barbara (Eddie) Wright.
