Ana Maria Flores

Ana Maria Flores, 87 May 27, 1938 – October 3, 2025 Ana Maria Flores, 87, of Algonquin, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2025, at her home, surrounded by the love and presence of her family.
Born on May 27, 1938, in Mexico City, Mexico, Ana was the beloved daughter of Lino and Sara (Carrasco) Urban. In 1957, she married the love of her life, Ramiro Flores. Together they built a beautiful life grounded in love and faith. In 1970, Ana and Ramiro moved to the USA to create opportunities for their family, holding tightly to the values of faith, hard work, and unity.
Ana was the heart of her family. She lived a life devoted to Christ and dedicated to serving others. Her unwavering faith guided her every step and was evident in the love she gave so freely. She took pride in creating a warm and welcoming home, known for her incredible cooking, housekeeping and gentle spirit. Graceful and elegant, Ana carried herself with quiet strength and timeless class. She was soft-spoken, slow to anger, and led with kindness and humility. Deeply proud of her heritage, Ana cherished traditional values and found joy in celebrating the accomplishments of her children and grandchildren. Her legacy is one of love, humility, and faith-a legacy that will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Ana was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. She will be dearly missed. She is survived by her loving children: Raul (Nora) Flores, Lina Gardner, Grace Gardner, Mario Flores, and Ana Maria (JD Ackley) Flores. Cherished grandchildren: Valeria, Efrain, Krystal (Dave), Jazsalynna (Cristian), Scotty, Adam, Matthew, Michael, Mario, Noe(Vanessa), Nicole, Hannah (Arbaaz), Brendan, and Alyssa Marie. Great-grandchildren: Elias and Katalina. She is also survived by her dear brother Jorge (Luz) Urban, and sister Lulu Urban.
Ana was preceded in death by her husband, Ramiro Flores, and her son-in-law, Michael Gardner.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at DeFiore Funeral Home, 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley, with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery in Palatine.
