In Loving Memory of Diane Schoenrock
March 29, 1946 – October 8, 2025
With hearts full of love and gratitude for her life, the family of Diane Schoenrock announces her peaceful passing on October 8, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones.
Born in Chicago on March 29, 1946, Diane lived a life rooted in faith, kindness, and simple joys.
She was a devoted wife to Dale Schoenrock of 37 years,
a loving mother to Children, Brent ( Nichol ) Allen,
Stacie Janak ( Shane English ) ,Michelle ( Rick ) Brueckmann, Brad Schoenrock
Grandchildren Mia Allen, Brady Allen, Finn Janak, Addison Janak,
Beckett English, Finley English, Jacob Brueckmann, Caden Brueckmann, Hunter, Brianna Schoenrock.
Diane spent years on the sidelines of various sporting events cheering for her children and grandchildren.
Her love for her family was always felt, and we know it will last with us forever. She also enjoyed a good game of Rummikub and Mexican Train. She wasn't overtly competitive, but she enjoyed a win.
Diane's garden was her sanctuary, a reflection of her nurturing spirit and creativity.
She found beauty in every season, and her nickname was Snips. She loved tending to her landscaping to make it just right.
She also loved spending time with her friends, whether they were from high school at Cary Grove, coworkers at Walgreens or neighbors in Sun City.
It's a testament to her loyalty and love that she maintained friendships throughout various stages of her life.
She could often be found at the local mall finding the best bargain or meeting for book clubs.
Her steadfast faith in Jesus guided her life and comforted her in her last days. She was an active member of Trinity Lutheran where she was well known and volunteered various acts of service throughout the years. We know Dale welcomed her in heaven with the largest hug, and she's dancing merrily with her mother and father, Harry & Geri Benson.
Diane's warmth, humor, and gentle heart will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, October 12, from 4-7pm at DeFiore Funeral Home-10763 Dundee Road, Huntley, IL
The funeral will be held Monday, October 13th at 11am at Trinity Lutheran Church 11008 N Church St, with a second visitation at Church from 10am until the time of the Service. Burial will be at WIndridge Memory Gardens in Cary.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Trinity Lutheran Church in her memory.
