Linda M. Jackson

Linda M. Jackson, 75, of Huntley, passed away peacefully on October 7, 2025, with her family by her side.
Linda was born on August 16, 1950, the daughter of Benjamin and Elizabeth Mills. In 1970, she married the love of her life, Joseph E. Jackson. Family was the center of Linda's world-she cherished every moment spent with her daughter, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She enjoyed being outdoors, walking, and exercising, and loved traveling, especially on family cruises. An avid reader, Linda was an active member of her neighborhood book club. Later in her life she became the proud mom of "Simba", her beloved Maltese who was the center of her life. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, fond aunt to her nieces and nephews, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Linda is survived by her daughter, Kris (Dan) Hoijer; her grandchildren, Sarah (Sal) Calabrese, Jessica (Mitch) Linhart, Zack Hoijer, and Danny Hoijer; and her great-grandchildren, Lauren, Adrianna, Joey, Luca, Grayson, Gianna, Austin, and Layla. She is also survived by her brother, Michael Mills.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Joseph; and her sisters, Margaret and Laura.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at DeFiore Funeral Home, 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 10307 Dundee Road, Huntley.
Burial will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery in Palatine.
