Andjelka Lekich

Lekich, Andjelka, was born on November 21, 1935 (The feast of Saint Archangel Michael) in Gospic, Croatia (formerly Yugoslavia) to Mitar and Jovanka Lekich. Andjelka who resided in Dearborn Heights, Michigan, passed away on April 16, 2025 at the age of 89. Dear sister of Mileva. Beloved Godmother to many Godchildren in Serbia as well as the States. Andjelka was preceded in death by her parents. Also survived by many other loving family and friends. Especially the Keca, Ciganovic, Stipic, Petrovic families.
Andjelka was a proud graduate of University of Belgrade Dental School in 1963, she worked in the city of Novi Sad for over 30 years! She was very respected for her professionalism and for all her wisdom. She was known to lend a helping hand to anyone in need, especially during the wartime in the 1990s in Yugoslavia. Andjelka was a lifelong devoted Orthodox Christian. She loved to bake and cook for her many family members, and friends. Andjelka was also a fan of spending time in the outdoors, gardening and she loved to walk her neighbor's dog.
Visitation Monday, April 21, 2025 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the Allen Park Chapel of Voran Funeral Home, 5900 Allen Rd. (313) 928-2300.
