Andres Flores, born on February 4, 1956, in Taft, Texas, passed away peacefully on January 25, 2025. He was a beloved figure in his community and a man of deep faith, serving as a pastor for 35 years before his retirement. His pastoral journey included a meaningful tenure at Temple Baptist Church, where he devoted ten years to guiding others.
Andres dedicated a significant part of his professional life to Victor Engineering Company, where he worked for 42 years across the locations in Abilene and Denton, Texas. A kind soul with an infectious laugh, Andres loved to read his Bible.
He is survived by his sons, Jonathan Flores and Joshua Flores; his stepsons, Hector Grisham and stepdaughter, Priscilla Grisham; nine grandchildren, Jaden, Lyric, Hector Jr., Angelyna, Alyah, Mia, Jimmy II., Katelynn, Nya and grand pup, Reptar; and his siblings, Delfina Flores, Ricardo Flores, Irene Escobar, Angelina Medena, and Julia Hernandez, Maria Cavazos, and Ramiro Flores.
Andres was preceded in death by his father, Domingo Ruiz Flores; his mother, Maria Flores; his brother, Guadalupe Flores; his brother, Raul Flores; and his sister, Rosa Cazarez.
Visitation for Andres Flores will take place on January 31, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Weathersbee Ray Funeral Home, located at 111 N McKinley Ave, Rotan, Texas, 79546. A funeral service will follow on February 1, 2025, at 10:00 AM at the same location.
