Andrew “Andy” James Clark, 46, passed away Sunday, April 23, 2023, at his home in Indianapolis, where he was a lifelong resident. Born Feburary 10, 1977, he was the son of the late David W. Clark, Sr., and Kathy Jo (Wilgus) Clark, who survives. Andy attended Catholic schools from Grade 2 forward, graduating from Scecina Memorial High School in 1995. Andy was employed by CertaSite in Fishers as a purchasing agent, a role he held since 2022; prior to this, Andy held several key service and technical roles in the Indianapolis area.
In addition to his mother, survivors include his son Andrew James Clark II of Indianapolis, brothers David (Diana) Clark of Fort Wayne and Michael (Sharea) Clark of Fishers, sister Stacey Clark Glover of Indianapolis, and his partner and companion Fabiana Michelon Alvarenga of Brownsburg, along with her sons Erik and Nicholas. Andy is also survived by the mother of his son, Amanda Clontz Clark of Indianapolis, two nephews and four nieces, along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, both in the Indy area, and afar.
In addition to his father, Andy was preceded in death by a brother, Daniel Wilgus Clark, and grandparents Merle C. & Regina (Claise) Wilgus, and Richard C. & Patricia (Diederichsen) Clark, and an uncle, James C. Wilgus.
As a child, Andy was fascinated with small, handheld model cars, and could entertain himself for hours with just a rolling car and his imagination. This simplicity in thought and focus continued into his adult years as his loves were few and deep – love for his son and family, love for Notre Dame football and the Colts, and love for friends and gathering times.
Visitation is scheduled for Friday, April 28th from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Indiana Funeral Care at 8151 Allisonville Rd. in Indianapolis. In keeping with Andy’s perspective on life, a short memorial service will follow from 1:00 – 1:30 p.m., at the same location. Entombment will occur at a later date at Calvary Cemetery in Indianapolis.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Scecina Memorial High School Athletics program, by contributing to the school directly at 5000 Nowland Ave., Indpls, IN 46201, or online at https://scecina.org/giving ~ please note the gift is being made to Athletics in
memory of Andy Clark. Additionally, messages of condolence can be made directly with Indiana Funeral Care, via this site.
