Sergeant Andrew Powell Burdett
Andrew Burdett, age 73, of Euharlee, Georgia, died Thursday July 10, 2025. He was born on February 26, 1952 in Statesboro, Georgia.
Andrew was a Vietnam Veteran who served in the United States Army. After his military service, he pursued a career in mechanics, as well as various other trades to include vivid storytelling.
A friend to many, Andrew is survived by his granddaughter, Alexus Cantrell (Taylor) and his grandson, Dj Parker (Hannah) and his great grandchildren - Hadleigh, Annaleigh, Piper and Parker; son-in-law, Chris Hollomon; as well as his step-children, Jeremy Collins (Jodi), Jacey Robertson (David) and Josh Collins (Julia) and step-grandchildren - James Robertson, Jacob Collins, Rachel Robertson and Theodore Collins. He is also survived by his brother, Andy Burdett, along with his niece and nephew, Merritt Burdett (Lindsey) and Gia Beatty (Chris Helton) and many great nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Andrew is preceded in death by his wife Janie Burdett and his only daughter, Kristy Hollomon.
A service will be held in his honor at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 20, 2025 at the Sosebee Memorial Chapel. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Sunday from 12:00 p.m. until the funeral hour. Interment will be privately held at the Georgia National Cemetery.
