Andrew Martin Elvebak

Andrew Martin Elvebak, age 78, passed away peacefully on January 4, 2026. He was born on January 15, 1947, to Martin and Helen (Adix) Elvebak. Andrew grew up on a farm near Mansfield and graduated from Kiester High School in 1965.

Andrew had a deep and abiding love for animals and the land. Farming was more than an occupation or pastime for him - it was a way of life. He found peace and purpose in caring for animals, working the soil and tending to the rhythms of the seasons.

He is survived by his sisters Lullo (William) Lindstrom of Northfield, MN; Martha Elvebak of Beavercreek, OH; nieces Karena Hansen of Frisco, TX and Kara (David) Brink of Arlington, VA; and nephew John (Rebecca) Lindstrom of Muskego, WI. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Sylvia Hansen of Ringsted, IA; brother-in-law Leroy Hansen of Ringsted, IA; and nephew Arlyn Hansen of Story City, IA.

A memorial service will be held on January 17, 2026, at 2:00 pm at Mansfield Lutheran Church, Alden, MN. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
