Leo Eugene Osbeck, age 92, passed away on March 11, 2026 at Good Samaritan Care Center in Albert Lea, MN.

Leo was born on a farm near Bruce, South Dakota on January 3, 1934, to Joseph and Myrtle (Krumm) Osbeck. He attended country school and graduated from Arlington High School in 1952 where he was elected Student Body President. He graduated from South Dakota State University in 1957 where he was enrolled in ROTC and later served in the Army Reserve.

His first job was as a high school and veterans agriculture teacher in Waubay, S.D. He then was employed by International Harvester in Sioux Falls, S.D. where he was recruited by Federated Insurance of Owatonna, MN to work as an insurance salesman. Eventually he would own Osbeck Insurance Agency for many years in Albert Lea, MN.

Leo married Grace Elaine (Wulf) at Aurora Methodist Church in Aurora, S.D. on November 9, 1957. Together they raised four children: Michael, Colleen, Connie and Kathleen.

His hobbies were reading, bowling, golf and the Minnesota Vikings football games on TV. Once every summer, he organized a golf day with his grandchildren.

Leo was a long time, faithful member of the Noon Kiwanis International Club of Albert Lea and also a faithful member of the United Methodist Church where he served on many committees and was head usher for many years.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Grace; son, Michael (Gina) of Windsor, CA; daughters, Colleen (Ron) Israelson of Lake Elmo, MN, Connie (Mark) Osbeck of Lake Elmo, MN; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Leo is preceded in death by his parents; brother and sister-in-law, Lyle and Sigrid Osbeck; daughter Kathleen and her husband Robert Wallace.

Funeral services will be held on April 9, 2026 at 11:00 AM at United Methodist Church in Albert Lea with visitation at 10:00 AM. Burial will be at Geneva Cemetery in Geneva, MN.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Noon Kiwanis of Albert Lea or United Methodist Church of Albert Lea.
