Andrew Derek Latham, 23, of Mauldin, SC, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2023, surrounded by his family and friends after a brave battle with cancer.
He was born August 24, 1999 in Greenville, SC and grew up in Dacusville, SC with brother, Blaise and many cousins.
Drew enjoyed racing go-carts and watching the races at Greenville-Pickens Speedway. He was a car enthusiast and especially adored his 1996 Ford Mustang. In addition to his motorsports, Drew enjoyed spending time outdoors, hunting and fishing with his family and friends. On gamedays, he could always be found cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs.
Drew attended Pickens High School and worked in several industries including BMW, Busy Beaver Tree Service and most recently, PAI Pharmaceuticals. He was well loved by his coworkers and displayed a strong work ethic.
He is survived by his loving wife, Addison Goldsmith Latham; daughter, Rivers Camille Latham, both of Mauldin; parents, Derek and Joy Latham; brother, Blaise Latham, all of Easley; grandparents, Francis Messer of Easley, Curtis and Rita Latham of Greenville, Dale Nash (Susan) of Belton; uncles, Jason Nash (Candie) of Liberty, Elijah Messer of Easley; and many other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A visitation will be held Thursday February 2, 2023 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday afternoon at the family farm in Marietta, SC.
