Andrew Fisher Wilkinson, 52, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away Thursday, October 19, 2023.
He was born Friday, March 12, 1971, in Agana, Guam. He was the son of the late Cdr. Jay H. Wilkinson, USN, and Elizabeth F. (Fisher) Eberts.
His early youth was spent overseas in Guam, Thailand, and Puerto Rico.
Drew graduated from Mercersburg Academy in 1989 and The University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill in 1994. He later graduated from Emory University School of Law in 1997.
Upon graduation, his first employment was as Law Clerk, Circuit Court, Washington County. After his clerkship, he became an Associate at the law office of Barton and Williams in 1997, quickly making partner and practicing as Barton, Williams & Wilkinson. In 2006, he left private practice to join the Washington County Attorney's office as Assistant County Attorney. He transitioned back into private practice at Divelbiss and Wilkinson in 2012 and ultimately opened his firm, Wilkinson Law, in 2017.
He was awarded a Judgeship in November 2019 and sworn in as Associate Judge at the Circuit Court for Washington County, 4th Judicial Circuit of Maryland, in January 2020.
He had previously served on the Board of Directors for the Hagerstown YMCA and Food Resources Inc. and was a former member of the Downtown Rotary Club. He was a member of the Courthouse Redevelopment Group and the Washington County Bar Association. He was also considered a business and technology judge.
Drew spent much of his time giving back to the community while coaching Caroline and Grant. He coached soccer for thirteen years through the Hagerstown Soccer Club and YMCA (HAYSL). He also spent time coaching youth lacrosse and basketball.
Drew's greatest joy was spending time with his family and close friends. He enjoyed family vacations, world travel, camping, boating, surf fishing, and college sports.
There are no words to describe the amazing husband and father Drew was. He is irreplaceable.
He is survived by his wife, Stephanie A. Wilkinson; daughter, Caroline S. Wilkinson; son, Grant F. Wilkinson; brother, John S. Wilkinson; and sister-in-law, Crystal, all of Hagerstown.
Services will be held Friday, October 27, 2023, at 10:00 a.m., at the St. Ann Catholic Church, 1525 Oak Hill Avenue, Hagerstown, MD, with the Rev. Msgr. J. Bruce Jarboe officiating.

I am greatly blessed to have had Drew as my soccer coach growing up. Coach Drew made me the player I am today and I will forever cherish those years. His smile, positivity, and presence was always a highlight in my day. Drew will forever be in my heart. Caroline, Grant, and Mrs. Wilkinson will always be in my prayers, love you guys.

As a young Army family living in Bowie MD, my favorite neighbors were the
Wilkinsons, a Navy family. My boys were a bit younger than John and Andrew, but they all became friends. There were many times Andrew made me laugh at his "jokes" and original songs. I´m so grateful that I knew their family. Andrew´s mom was a wonderful friend, she was a giving person and helped me out many times when our husbands were deployed. I´m sure John and Andrew grew into a caring adults as well.
This tragedy is beyond heartbreaking, my thoughts are with all who knew and loved Andrew. I am so sorry for your loss.

Andrew was my first "official" friend. We were 5 years old. I was an Army brat and lived just down the street from the Wilkinson's on Pageant Ct, Bowie, MD. We used to ride our big wheels down the hill from his house. His older brother John taught me how to throw a football in their back yard. Although we lost touch after we moved to Germany at age 7, I'll never forget those memories. I'm so torn at the loss of Andrew. Peace be with his family and friends. -Erik Meisner

Attached picture is from senior year of college, Sigma Chi formal. He asked the band if he could step in to sing Under My Thumb by the Stones. He was good! We were floored. I'll remember his confidence and kindness.
