Sometimes we just have to take a moment and remember our past...at least for short while. Just a couple of days ago I read that a friend and neighbor (farm days) had passed away. I was not ready for this news...and the tears flowed like rivers of sadness for the family and for the loss of Andy Wright. Not only was I a friend and a neighbor but he was always there for me supporting me through the years as we grew up as just kids and through our adult years. Friends and neighbors with the Wrights for years and years...he was like a brother to me, just like Maggie was a sister to me. If I had only known...I had been away from the farm community for the last 13 years. So many times I wanted to go back and visit, but never did. Maybe I had a fear, maybe just too busy traveling and taking care of my boys Herk and Sam, or maybe I just thought they were too busy to visit if I did stop by. Now I can´t. Now I´m upset and full of sadness about not having the opportunity. I feel so much for the loss of Andy and since I´m an empath, I feel for Donna, Maggie, Drew and Philip, and all the rest of the Wright´s. Don´t ever see friends or family because of any fears you may have. Make a call. Stop for a visit. Take the time for that hello because you just never know.
One story that I will share is that of when I first soloed. I won´t ever forget that day I flew, I soloed, and Andy was so proud of my accomplishments. He told me to make sure to come over for the poker night and we would celebrate. Yes, every month and on a Saturday he had big poker and pool night with lots of food, and anything you could ever want! So once I finished up at the airport there was s huge spread of food at the pool house! Played pool, smoked a cigar, drank a few beers and shots, and played Texas Holdem

What a night it was!!! And then when I crossed the street to my farm and then found out I got locked out of the house, well went back for more at the pool house and Andy always helped with all who cross his path...he was kind, considerate, and a friend to all...he appreciated everything in life and all who he met.
In remembrance, I will have a cigar, a drink, and play poker...thanks Andy for our friendship over the years....rest in peace Andy and hope you are with your four-legged friends and being at your happy place with them...
