Andromache Elizabeth "Andie" Harrelle 66, of Greenville, North Carolina, passed away on Friday, August 8, 2025.

No services will be held.

Andie was born in Greenville, North Carolina on April 28, 1959 to the late Wesley Paul Harrelle and Betty Brett Harrelle. Andie moved with her family to Raleigh, North Carolina while in elementary school and later to Oakton, Virginia while in high school. She graduated from Oakton High School in the class of 1978.

Andie began working at McLean Bank in McLean, Virginia while she was still a student at Oakton High School. Later she worked at America Online (AOL) starting out on the trouble desk and later becoming an executive assistant for numerous Vice Presidents. Andie moved down to Greenville, North Carolina in 2000 to be closer to family. Andie worked in the Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities at East Carolina University (ECU) for 20 plus years. She retired from ECU at the end of 2023.

She is survived by her mother, Betty Brett Harrelle of Greenville, NC, her brothers, Wesley Paul Harrelle, Jr. of Las Vegas, NM and Preston Brett Harrelle of Fairfax, VA, and sister, Rebecca Harrelle Brinson of Greenville, NC. While Andie did not have any children of her own, she was a great and beloved Aunt to five nieces and nephews, Tucker Brinson, Faith Harrelle, Brett Harrelle, Graceson Brinson and Davis Brinson.

In October 2024, Andie had a battle with cancer and with surgery and other treatment thought that it was under control. but the cancer metastasized rapidly to other parts of her body.

Rest secure in God's hands – Love, Mom, Wes, Preston and Becki.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to The Service League of Greenville Hospice House where Andie peacefully spent her final days. To donate by check, please make payable to ECU Health Foundation, include "SLG Hospice House" in the memo field.
