Angela Blair

Angela Nicole Elizabeth Blair "Nic", 43, of Washington D.C., passed away on Friday, May 17, 2024, at her residence.
Angela was born October 7, 1980, to Lester and Loretta Blair. She was preceded in death by her mother Loretta Blair and several other family members, most recent being her grandmother, Hazel Blair.
She graduated from Spotswood High School, Penn Laird, VA. Once fully relocated to Washington, she went on to develop her culinary skills and talents at Stratford University, where she became a very good cook! She also began a career at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center as a Food Service Associate.
Angela loved music (of any kind), watching movies, soaps, and old TV shows, dining on her favorite foods, catching up with and encouraging close friends. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and her extended family, and rubbing the fact that she was a Cowboys fan in the face of certain family members (and you know who you are!)
Angela joined Mt. Paran Baptist Church in Elkton, VA. at an early age. She was raised in the church with a love for the Lord and gospel music.
Nic was well loved by so many, and she loved posting on Facebook, which allowed her to keep in touch with so many of those longtime friends. She will be greatly missed.
Angela is survived by her four beautiful children, JaTerra Bowie, Lamar Bowie, Zariyah Blair, and Asante Small; father, Lester Blair (Cyndi); step-sisters, Hannah Coltrain-Hamrick, Trina Benjamin-Sesay; aunts, Sheila Blair, Sylvia Moton-Bostick and Cynthia James (Arthur); uncles, Emmett Blair, Jr. and Curtis Blair; "Special Heart Connections" in the Valley and away including "Ma Davis" and a host of cousins, classmates, teachers and friends.
A Memorial Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, June 8, 2024, at Kyger Funeral Home (Elkton) with family and friends gathering at 12:00 p.m. and the service immediately following at 1:00 p.m. Officiant will be Rev. Michael Turner.
