Angela Marie Shindle, 93, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away, Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Twin Oaks Assisted Living, Williamsport, MD.
Born Thursday, February 11, 1932, in Waynesboro, PA, she was the daughter of the late Ross Dale Shindle and the late Laura Marie (Bartles) Shindle.
She graduated from Hagerstown High School in 1950 and later from Hagerstown Business College. She was employed with Western Maryland Railway Company/ CSXT for 41 plus years, retiring in 1992. Angela was a member of AARP and TCU/IAM, and was also a participant in the Johns Hopkins Research Program (ARIC).
Angela is survived by special cousins and caregivers Jorja Kline, and Lesley, Peter, and Lucy Eschinger. She is also survived by cousins Wayne (Nancy) Bartles, Richard (Janice) Bartles, and Steven (Deborah) Shuck. She also leaves behind other cousins and close friends.
She was preceded in death by her Sister, Anne Catherine Shindle.
Services will be held Monday, October 13, 2025, at 2:00 pm, at the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North Hagerstown, MD, with the Pastor Karen Grossnickle officiating.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home, Monday, October 13, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, prior to the service.
Interment will be at the Beautiful View Cemetery, State Line, PA.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Twin Oaks Assisted Living 44 E. Village Ln, Willamsport, MD 21795, in Angela's memory.
