Angie was an important part of my life. I am so thankful to God for her. Besides having my Grandmother in my life almost every day as a child, I don't remember getting together with anyone else as much as we did with Angie. This time together established a love for and relationship I didn't realize I had with Angie until I was in my 30's. My Mom died when I was 12 yrs old and My Dad died when I was 22 yrs old. I was lost and made a lot of mistakes in my life. I worked near Angie's home and often thought of her fondly whenever I was driving near her. Finally, one day I got the courage to call her to see if I could come over to see her. I felt so much love and comfort in her voice over the phone call that day. Something I had been longing for from my Mom for so many years. Since then, I have been blessed to be able to spend time with her every so often, phone calls here and there, and greeting cards through the mail. It was a special gift and honor to be able to spend some time with her recently as she was reaching the end of her life here on earth. I didn't get that with my Mom and Dad. Angie has done so much for me, more than my words can express. I loved being able to be there for her during this time, hoping I could love her as well as she has always loved me and support her if possible. I cherish not only my memories with her but the time I got to spend with her family when I was there. I heard new stories about Angie I hadn't heard before. I met some new people I hadn't met before. And I got to laugh with her kids like I haven't laughed with before. I was just reminded of another cherished memory, my wedding to Wayne. It still warms my heart to this day that Angie and her family were there. It meant A LOT to me. Thank you.
