Angelo M. LaCarrubba

Angelo M. LaCarrubba of Huntington, NY was born in Brooklyn on May 27, 1930. The son of Sicilian immigrants, he grew up playing on the streets of Brooklyn surrounded by family, food and love. He was drafted into the army and courageously served two years in the Korean War. Upon his return, he attended NYU, receiving his Master's Degree in Education. He was a beloved teacher for 30 years in the South Huntington School District where he served as Chairman of the Industrial Arts Department. He met the love of his life, Rosemary, on the dance floor. They were married for 63 years. Angelo was happiest when with family and friends.
Angelo will be lovingly remembered for his big hearted kindness, generosity, honesty, funny sense of humor, and patience.
Angelo was the beloved husband to Rosemary LaCarrubba, cherished father to Joanne (Carsten) Steenberg, Michael (Suzi) LaCarrubba, and Lisa (Richard) Yeager. Adored Grandfather to Gabrielle, Nicholas, Angelina, Karina, John, and Grace. Cherished brother to Frances LaCarrubba.
