Anina DeSales (Fullagar) Myint, passed away on the morning of Wednesday, April 12, 2022 at the age of 80. She was surrounded by family and love in the comfort of her home.
Anina was born to Raymond and Claudia Fullagar in 1942 in Livonia where she grew up with her brother, Claude Fullagar. She graduated from Bentley High School (Class of 1956) and started to take a few courses at Wayne State University. Anina began a 20 year career at Ford Motor Company, ultimately reaching the position of Executive Secretary at the Research & Engineering Center in Dearborn. She met the love of her life, Aung Myint, at a Ford - Ski Club function. Aung was taken aback by Anina's bright smile, warm heart, and joy for life that he, as the Treasurer of the club, let her into the event despite Anina not having a ticket. They married and started a family in the Bloomfield Hills area with their children, Sean and Nicole. Aung's position at Ford brought the family to the Ann Arbor area. Upon the purchase of their home in Ann Arbor, Anina knew she wanted to use her love for helping others by becoming a realtor. She continued with that career for the next 20 years. She was beloved by her clients and enjoyed getting to know about people's lives and families in order to find them the home of their dreams.
Two words to describe Anina would be loving and giving. She knew no strangers and could make any person feel like a friend or family in a matter of minutes. She was the best wife and mother, always taking care of her family. In turn, they made her so proud and she would talk everyone's ear off that she could about her children and grandchildren's accomplishments. She continued that love for her beloved animals. Anina would lend a home to any animal in need. Taking in their dog, Lucky, off the highway and providing a warm home and care including an artificial leg and multiple surgeries. She also made room for horses. This would include a very special horse named Secret, who was in fact brought into the family in secret. Many animals found a home with Anina.
Anina was a classy woman. She was a fan of quality over quantity. Her smile, laugh and attitude were infectious. Her voice would light up the room with her stories and hilariously bad jokes. She took every opportunity to talk and brag about her children and grandchildren. Holidays and events were extravagantly and traditionally celebrated with lots of laughter and love. She brought out the sunshine and brightness of every crowd. Every hello and every goodbye was met with a warm embrace and a kiss.
Anina is survived by her beloved husband, Aung; cherished children, Sean (Stacey) Myint and Nicole Myint; loving grandchildren, Annamarie and Sean Jr.; dearest nephew, Aaron Fullagar; dear cousin, Margarite Terrel and many extended friends and family. She is also survived by her dear pets Balto the dog, Jaguar the horse, and Romario the Cockatoo.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Claudia Fullagar and brother, Claude Fullagar.
Visitation will be held at Nie Funeral Home - 3767 W. Liberty Road, Ann Arbor, Michigan 48103, on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 from 10:00am - 12:00pm. A Funeral Service will begin at noon followed by a procession to Bethlehem Cemetery of Ann Arbor, Michigan for burial.
