Anita J. Dean

Anita J. Dean, 95 years young, passed away October 10, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She resided in Bradenton, FL for the last 63 years, but was originally from Bronx, NY. Born March 21, 1928, in the Bronx. Anita worked in food service at Bayshore Elementary School and then onto sales at Macy's Incorporated until she retired in June 1993.
Anita was preceded in death by her loving parents, Joseph and Anita McGarity; sister, Dorothy Matheson (Robert). She is survived by her two children, Kenneth (Anne Marie) of Sarasota, FL and Janice M. Bradenton, FL; 5 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Mass will be held 10 AM, Friday, December 1, 2023, at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Catholic Church on Magellan Drive (9th Street East), Sarasota, FL. Brown and Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory, 26th Street Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
