In Loving Memory of Anita C Hernandez
A beloved mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2025 in San Antonio TX, surrounded by the love of her family. She was a pillar of kindness, grace, and strength, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and compassion that will forever be cherished.
Born on September 13, 1931 Anita lived a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering generosity. She touched countless hearts with her gentle spirit, always offering a listening ear, a comforting embrace, and words of wisdom that guided those she loved. Her home was a place of warmth, where family and friends gathered to share stories, meals, and joy.
She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Herman and Natividad Cortez, her son David Hernandez, and her dear sister Matilde Rodriguez. Though we mourn her passing, we take solace in knowing she has reunited with them in peace.
She leaves behind her daughter Esperanza H Leos( Rosario Leos Sr), grandchildren Rosario Jr., Angelica, Rosemarie, Ruben, Juan, David Jr. and Jerry and several great grandchildren, her siblings Ernesto Cortez(Maria Cortez) and Olga Thomas(Robert Thomas) and several nieces and nephews who will carry forward her love and wisdom, keeping her memory alive through the traditions she cherished and the lessons she imparted. Her spirit will forever live in the laughter and the resilience of her family, and the love shared among those who were blessed to know her.
Though she may no longer walk beside us, her love remains, woven into the hearts of all who knew her. Rest peacefully, dearest Anita. You are forever loved.
