Mrs. Anita F. Jones, 81, of Paint Lick, passed away on Friday, September 26, 2025, at the UK Chandler Medical Center in Lexington.
She was born at home on Broaddus Branch in Garrard County, on May 25, 1944, the daughter of the late John S. & Iva Mae Rogers Tudor. Mrs. Jones was a retired factory employee having worked at Westinghouse, North-American Phillips, and Osram in Winchester, but her favorite job was that of being a wife, mother, and grandmother and she cherished the moments and memories made with her children and grandchildren. She was an avid thrift store visitor and was a regular shopper at Goodwill. Mrs. Jones attended the Mt. Tabor Baptist Church and later in life attended the Waco Baptist Church.
Survivors include: her husband, Boyd Jones; her children, Monty Edward Hill (Melissa), & Tammy Shelley (Allan); her step-children, Boydennia Cox (D'Wayne), Barton Jones (Stephanie), & Barron Jones (Rebecca); her grandchildren, Devon Shelley, Logan Hill & Myles Hill (Aleshia); her step-grandchildren, Hunter Jones (Katie), Breanna Little (Alex), Chance Jones (Emmalee), Sydney Lynch (Jeff), & Alyssa Cox; great-grandchildren, Mason Hill, Jenson Hill, Irah Kay Hill, Mylah Britt Hill, and one more on the way; her step-great-grandchildren, Ivy Jones, Marlee Jones & Mabel Jones; one brother, Jimmy Tudor; two sisters, Marilyn Rogers & Barbara Mosley (Bill); as well as a host of nieces & nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her daughter, Marsha Kay Hill; one granddaughter-in-law, Brittany Hill; one brother, John D. Tudor; her brothers-in-laws, Ronald Rogers, Tommy Young & Bobby Jones; and her father-in-law & mother-in-law, Fred & Grace Jones.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM, Monday, September 29, 2025, at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home, W. Main St., Richmond, with Bro. Bobby Burchette officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Paint Lick Cemetery in Paint Lick.
Visitation will be after 11:00 AM, Monday, at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be: Monty Hill, Jimmy Tudor, Logan Hill, Myles Hill, Devon Shelley, and Allan Shelley.
