Anita Stecher Obituary
Anita M. (DiMuzio) Stecher, of Green Township, passed away on January 15, 2025. Anita exemplified love in thought, word, and deed. She was born the daughter of Joseph and Linda (Cirinelli) DiMuzio, graduated from Mercy High School in 1968, and later attended the University of Cincinnati before accepting a position with U.C. Hospital in Biomedical Photography.
Anita married Tom Stecher on December 1, 1979. They recently celebrated their 45th anniversary. Anita was a dedicated mother to Mike (Carrie) Stecher, Mark (Anna) Stecher, and Bethany (Alex) Leanch. Anita homeschooled Mark and Bethany, and both graduated summa cum laude from their respective universities. Anita is the proud grandmother of Caleb, Kendall, Aaron, Luke, Ruthie, Isaac, David, Lillian, Jonathan, Ezra, Isabella, and Elias.
Anita was a faithful disciple of Jesus Christ, sharing His love with Young Life students, ladies' groups, and her children and grandchildren. Anita has laid up treasures in Heaven serving the Lord's children. Her family treasures memories of her loving kindness, a love which will live on through her children and grandchildren. She demonstrated her loving relationship with God through her love of others. "God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him." - 1 John 4:16
Anita is also survived by her sisters-in-law Lois DiMuzio, Cheryl (Doug) Hayden, and Ann (Dan) Thoma; brother-in-law Ken (Carol) Stecher; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Linda (Cirinelli) DiMuzio, and her brother, John DiMuzio.

We will forever miss Anita. She was a dear friend to me. She continually served where ever she could, I remember how she came over to help me unpack our kitchen boxes from a recent move. We spent many times in prayer together and sometimes just relaxing on her front porch or the swimming pool in the back yard. She was very strong in her Christian faith and I am sure she will earn many crowns in heaven. She was a true witness to family and friends.

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends. Tom, children and grandchildren, I am so sorry for your loss. I went to HS w/Anita. I came in the middle of Jr. yr. and my walk to Mother of Mercy found me passing the DiMuzio house just when Anita's Fr. was leaving the house w/Anita for school. Being new, I was so grateful to meet a sweet and loving friend as Anita. She then introduced me to her childhood friend and classmate Peggy Kling Tucker, now of Albuquerque NM. RIP Anita, and peace be w/all of you! MaryAnne Brennan Sturm

Anita was in a couples Bible study group with her husband Tom and my husband Rick and I. She was also in my ladies prayer group. I enjoyed her as we would talk about Holistic health and exercise as this is my career. Mostly however, I loved the sense of joy she had. The Bible says the joy of the Lord is our strength! She radiated with Jesus! I am rejoicing that she's with Jesus now with no more sickness and pain.

I will miss you my long time friend you could always make me smile. We could talk forever and always pick up where we left off. You´re in His arms now and healed. I picture you dancing your beautiful ballet with the biggest beautiful smile. See you again forever!

Anita and I were in a lot of classes together at Mercy. I liked her from day one. She has an amazing smile and was so sweet. I saw her a few times recently at the Mercy lunches. It was great to reconnect with her and to pray for her healing. God had other plans. Our deepest sympathy to her beloved family and friends. You are all in our prayers.
