Ann LeJeanne Arnold

Ann LeJeanne Arnold, 84, passed away peacefully at her home in Ottawa, Kansas. Ann is with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Ann was born on July 17, 1940, in Richmond, Kansas. Her parents were Earl Schleif and Cora Ethel (Clark) Schleif. Ann was raised with her three brothers Dale, John and Earl Jr. Ann graduated from Ottawa High School and took several classes at Kansas University. In 1958 she married the love of her life David Arnold. They were blessed with four daughters Kathy, Lisa, Tracy and Dana. Ann had a successful career at Kansas Power & Light, later Westar Energy. Her family moved from Ottawa to Lawrence in 1977. Ann was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She loved raising african violets and was a member of the Lawrence African Violet Club. She enjoyed playing rummy, but her primary love was spending time with her family. Ann was preceded in death by her parents Earl and Cora Schleif, brothers Dale Schleif, John Schleif, and Earl Schleif Jr. Ann is survived by her husband of the home David Arnold, daughters Kathy (Loren) Stewart, Ottawa; Lisa ( Jerry) Bennett, Baldwin City; Tracy ( Kirk) Brock, Rantoul; Dana Arnold, Ottawa. Twelve grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren. The family will be having a graveside service May 31, at 11:00am at the Richmond, KS cemetery.
