Burlington- Ann J. (Veara) Charest of Burlington passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 30, 2023 in her daughter's home in Ayer.
She was born in South Boston on November 10, 1929 a daughter of the late Anthony and Julia (Gaspa) Veara and grew up there, graduating from South Boston High School. Ann began her family life in Dorchester, she has resided in Burlington since 1971.
In the mid-1950s, Ann was Chapter President and a volunteer with the Charlestown USO, where she helped to organize events and dances for active servicemen, and where she met her true love. After marrying her beloved 'Joe,' she dedicated her life to caring for him and raising their three daughters.
Throughout her years in Burlington, Ann was affectionately referred to as "Mrs. C" and was loved by many. She enjoyed bowling, word search puzzles, watching television, and was an avid pen collector, but her love for her family was her greatest passion. She will be sorely missed.
