Mrs. Ann Hollifield Duncan, age 79 of Grover, NC, passed away Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at her residence.

She is survived by her two sons, Rick Barnes of Grover, NC, and Michael Barnes and wife Vicky of Gastonia, NC, three siblings, Marlene Parrent of Burnsville, NC, Louise Rector of Hickory, NC, and Mary Nadine Meridith and husband Tony of Hickory, NC and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren including a very special great grandson, Alex Schoenholz.

Born January 18, 1946, in Buncombe County, NC, Ann was the daughter of the late Arthur Lee Hollifield and Caullie Rathbone Hollifield and was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Tony Mark Duncan, and a daughter, Sharon Hollifield.

Ann was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She had a great faith in the Lord throughout her life. During her life, she would always be there to help her neighbors, friends, and family. Her last wish was to be remembered as faithful to the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Hospice of Cleveland County 951 Wendover Heights Drive, Shelby NC 28150.
