Ann Watts, a steadfast beacon of love and faith, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, in her hometown of
Bristol, PA, where she was also born on January 8, 1954. Pre-deceased by her parents, William and Vera Howard, and Step father Mack De Bois and her grandparents, John and Illa Pace. She attended the School District of Bristol Township.
Ann's life was a testament to the power of unwavering faith, the warmth of a loving family, and the joy of simple pleasures. Ann's journey began as one of many siblings, where she developed her nurturing spirit and zest for life. She was a sister to Blossum Tull, Joan DeBois-West (Timothy), June DeBois, Todd DeBois, Mack DeBois, Jr., Medina Burnett, Joanne Fitchett, Trena West, Annette Howard, Tynetta Howard, Jamil Howard, Geraldine Howard, Ronnie Howard, Timothy Howard, and Maxine Hallback. Ann's siblings remember her often engaging in heartfelt conversations and sharing old photographs that captured their cherished memories. The love story of Ann and her devoted husband, Thomas Watts, spanned over three decades of shared moments and mutual support. Their partnership was blessed with two wonderful children, Amanda Mount and Deval Jones, Sr., who then gave Ann the joy of becoming a grandmother. Alisha Jones, Kwame Mount, Deval Jones, Jr., Shawna Jones, Jordan Jones, Shayna Jones, and Isabella Jones, all knew her as a grandmother who embraced every moment with enthusiasm and grace.
Ann also had the delight of seeing her legacy continue through her great-grandchildren, Zyaire Thomas, Sufyaan Mount-Ellis, and Virginia Jones. She had ten nephews, Corey Jones, William Cottrell, Kendall Cottrell, Byron Jones, Dwayne McCoy, Todd DeBois, Jr., Terique DeBois, Mack DeBois III, Lamar DeBois and Victor DeBois; three great nieces, Michelle Jones, Tearah Jones, and Coretta Barnes; and her cousins, Joe Louis Rogers, Turner Rogers, Flossie McQueen, Louis Rogers, Eddie Rogers and Vernon Rogers.
Ann's Christian faith was the cornerstone of her life. She lived her beliefs through her actions and words, always ready to offer a prayer or a song of praise. Her involvement with the Penn Warner Fishing Club reflected her love for God's creations, as she found peace and solace in the serenity of nature while fishing. Her spirit was further expressed through her passion for singing, a talent she shared with her family and church community, uplifting all who had the pleasure of hearing her voice. Family gatherings were a highlight for Ann, where she could be found at the center of cookouts, sharing stories, laughter, and her much-loved dishes. Conversations with her sisters were a daily ritual that fortified the bond they all cherished deeply. Ann's sense of style was unmistakable, especially at church, where she adorned herself in her favorite color, purple, complemented by exquisite matching hats that reflected her vibrant personality. Ann's home was filled with the warmth of her love and the presence of her beloved dogs, especially Remi. She had an affinity for butterflies, seeing them as symbols of transformation and hope, which mirrored her own life's journey. Those who knew Ann will remember her as faith-filled, loving, and spirited-a woman whose presence could light up a room and whose legacy will continue to inspire. Her life was a beautiful mosaic of devotion, compassion, and joy that touched the hearts of many, leaving behind memories that will be treasured forever.
