Ann Marie Will was born in Sumner, Oklahoma in the family home on February 19, 1934. With her family by her side, she peacefully passed on May 7, 2025.
“Marie” was the eldest child of Frank and Audra Hansen. She lived in the Sumner and Morrison communities for nearly her whole life. She graduated from Sumner High School in 1951 and attended Oklahoma State University until she married her best friend and life partner, William “Bill” Will on August 18, 1954. After their marriage, Bill was deployed to Germany for two years but upon his return they moved with Bill’s job in the oilfield. They made their permanent home in Morrison in 1969. They raised their children, farmed, ranched and enjoyed life in this home for nearly 60 years.
Marie loved her family more than anything in life. She was a constant presence and supporter at all their ag and sports activities. She and Bill were at every ballgame and livestock show during their children’s school years. When her children married, her heart grew even larger as she took their spouses in as her own and loved them dearly. She loved her grandchildren and was often seen at their activities and events. She was so proud of them! Marie enjoyed her great-grandchildren and loved their joy and laughter. She always greeted them with a warm hug. No one ever doubted the depths of her love.
Marie was an avid lover of animals. She always had dogs and cats on the farm, along with her cattle and pigs. She took in every stray and gave them a safe place to live. She frequently named the cattle and it was known that if it had a name, it never left the farm. While her children were in school, she raised the cattle and pigs and worked the fields to supplement the family income. This was where she found her joy. Her flowers and garden were always a source of pride and admired by anyone passing her home.
After her children graduated from high school, Marie worked at Citizens State Bank in Morrison for 25 years years. She loved her work family, especially Rick and Jan McSwain, who were very special friends to her. These relationships meant the world to her, and she truly enjoyed all of the time she spent with them.
Marie was a life-long member of the Morrison Christian Church. She served as Secretary-Treasurer for many years, as well as a deacon and elder. Marie was a gentle soul who loved the Lord and her church family. She especially enjoyed her Bible Study ladies and missed them dearly when she could no longer attend. These ladies were a constant source of support for her.
Marie lost the love of her life in September 2015 when Bill passed away. She is also pre-deceased by her beloved parents, Frank and Audra Hansen, her in-laws, George and Adella Will, her brother William Hansen and his wife, Marsha; her brother Larry Hansen; her sister, Emma Faye Clodfelter and her husband, Dale; her brother-in-law, Kenneth Will and her sister-in-law, Nedra Will.
