While one word is not enough to summarize Ann's life, love quickly comes to mind. Patricia Ann Powell Wilson was born to Charlie and Merle Powell on April 17, 1943, in Andalusia, Al. She attended Pleasant Home School and graduated in 1961 with classmates she has remained friends with over the years. She had already met the love her life, Calvin Morris (Pete) Wilson and they were married in August, 18, 1961, at Carolina Baptist Church by a Methodist minister, Rev. Devane. With that August wedding, only child Ann became part of the Wilson family and quickly had two sisters and two brothers; she embraced the Methodist family as well. About two years later on June 12, 1963, she gave birth to a son Randall Morris (Randy) Wilson. She and Pete lived in Andalusia, Cottage Hill, Molino, and Flomaton. She worked as a hair stylist and at St. Regis and at the Lakeview Center. She also worked with the Escambia County Mental Health Department for 35 years. Through her years as part of the Wilson family, her love was a strong cement that held the family together even after her in-laws were gone. During her life she cared for her father Charlie in her home and her younger cousin Mikey . She treasured the many nieces and nephews of Pete's family. At the age of 82, on August 11, 2025, she went to be with the Lord. Ann was greatly loved and will be always in our hearts.
