Anna Lee Forshee (Batson)

Anna Lee Forshee (Batson), 86, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2026.

Anna worked for many years as a legal secretary for Mr. Sheldon Weber, a time she considered a true highlight of her life. She spoke often and fondly of her years in the legal field, holding great respect and admiration for her colleagues. Later, she chose to dedicate herself fully to her family, embracing her role as a mother.

Her true calling in life was being a mother and grandmother. She was never happier than when she was caring for her daughter and grandchildren, supporting them in every way possible. She attended countless activities and events, always present and always cheering them on.

Anna never met a stranger. She loved people and had a natural warmth that made everyone feel welcome. She enjoyed crafts and sewing, working in the St. Gabriel cafeteria while her grandchildren attended school there, going to lunch with friends, tending to her yard, and staying busy with the people she loved most.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband, Norman L. Forshee.

Anna is survived by her loving daughter, Andrea Holton (David); her four cherished grandchildren, Victoria McDowell (Eli), Trevor Schroerlucke (Abbey), Nicholas Schroerlucke, and Calleigh Schroerlucke; her treasured great-granddaughter, Harper McDowell; her twin sister, Alice Ernst (Phil); and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 13, 2026, from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Ratterman and Sons Funeral Home, 3800 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY 40218. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at St. Martha Catholic Church, with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
