Anna Joyce Escue

Anna Joyce Escue, 76, peacefully passed away with her daughter, grandson, and niece by her side on March 25, 2025. She was born on October 9, 1948, and of the Baptist faith. Anna worked as a nurse, being an LPN for over 20 years, and taught CNA classes.

She loved to help others and loved her family and friends unconditionally. She liked doing arts and crafts, like sewing, and making dolls and figurines from clay. Anna loved to cook, especially southern food like cornbread, collard greens and black-eyed peas, and personally enjoyed sweets. She loved nature - her favorite activities being gardening flowers, growing crops, and watching animals in her yard. Anna loved growing up in the farm life spending time with her father, mother and two brothers and looked back at those times very fondly.

She is preceded in death by her father, James Carlis Parsley and mother, Virginia Jo Parsley.

Anna is survived by her daughter, Paula Escue; son, David Escue; grandson, Justin Escue; and a host of family and friends.

A graveside service will be held at Hamilton memorial Gardens on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. with Nikki Walker officiating.
