Anna Recine

It is with heavy hearts we share the passing of our beloved Mother and Grandmother, Anna Recine. She died peacefully in her home on December 2, 2025 at 94 years old. Anna was born on July 27, 1931 in Ripi, Italy to Emelia and Enrico Recine. She married the love of her life, Fernando, on February 25, 1951 and they were together for 64 wonderful years.
Anna was pre-deceased by her late husband Fernando and her sister Linda Sardilli. She is survived by her loving sons Angelo (predeceased by her daughter-in-law Kitty), Enrico and daughter-in-law Kathy, and her two cherished granddaughters Emily Angelini (Chris) and Carly.
Anna was a seamstress by trade and loved teaching her granddaughters how to sew from a young age. One of her passions was cooking for her family and friends. There are many wonderful memories of gathering on Sundays for delicious homemade sauce and pasta as well as making the zeppoli on Christmas Eve. She will be missed dearly and her traditions will live on forever.
Family and friends are welcome to gather for a visitation on Monday, December 8, 2025 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Cargain Funeral Homes, Inc., 10 Fowler Avenue, Carmel, NY.
A Mass of Christian Burial to honor and celebrate Anna Recine's life will take place at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at St. James the Apostle Church, 14 Gleneida Avenue, Carmel, NY.
Following Mass, Anna will be escorted to her final resting place alongside her beloved husband, Fernando (2015), at Rose Hills Memorial Park, 101 Mill Street, Putnam Valley, NY.
