Anna Ruth Reagan Sumner, age 92, passed away on October 6, 2025, in Farragut, TN.
She was born in Knoxville, TN and graduated from Clinton High School in Clinton, TN.
Anna was a lifelong homemaker, devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and daughter. She gave many years of caregiving to several family members throughout her life.
Anna was a born again Christian who was a dedicated and active member of Ridgeview Baptist Church in Knoxville, TN, where she found spiritual inspiration and developed lasting relationships. Her best friends were a few of the ladies in her Sunday School Class who loved each other like sisters.
Anna was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Sumner; her sons, Gregory Dike Edwards, and Richard Warren Edwards; her parents, Richard Reece Reagan and Rushia Malinda Beeler Reagan; her brothers, Richard Reece Reagan, Jr., and David Eugene Reagan.
She is survived by her son, Billy (Bill) Joe Edwards, Jr. of Farragut, TN; her daughter, Cynthia (Cindy) Jane Edwards Keil of Knoxville, TN; grandchildren, Chad Keil, Zak Keil (wife, Ashley), Kris Keil, and Hannah Keil; great-granddaughter, Heather Keil; sister, Sandra Bennett (husband, Jim) of Halls, TN; sister-in-law, Jennie Reagan (husband, David) of Winter Garden, FL.
Per Anna's wishes, no formal Funeral or Memorial Service will be held.
She will be laid to rest in Berry Highland Memorial Cemetery, Knoxville TN.
