Anna Luzia Zimmermann

Anna Zimmermann, 95, beloved Mother, Grandmother, and Great-grandmother, was called to her eternal resting place on September 24, 2021. She entered this world on May 3, 1926, in Stuttgart, Germany, born to Josef and Ida Schmid.



She moved to New Mexico from Arkansas after the passing of her beloved husband Gerhard Zimmermann. She had varied careers including seamstress, bookkeeper, and quality assurance specialist. A lifelong avid reader, later in life she enjoyed quilting, puzzles, crocheting, and knitting. She loved and cared greatly for her family.



She is survived by her daughter Nancy Burton and husband Ken: Edgewood, New Mexico; son Ralph Zimmermann and wife Cynthia Segal: Mill Valley, California; grandsons Micah Toub (wife Bryony Halpin) and Michael Zimmermann, granddaughter Andreya Toub, great-granddaughter Jasmin-Crenshaw-Toub, great-grandson Louis Toub, and son-in-law Eric Groon. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister and brother, and daughter Zoe Zimmermann.



A memorial service will be held on November 6, 2021, in Edgewood, New Mexico, by invitation.
