Anne Elizabeth Capone

Anne Elizabeth Capone, age 72, of Budd Lake, New Jersey, died on Thursday, January 15, 2026 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Anne was born in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania to the late William and Mary Hambor. She was raised alongside her two siblings in Westwood, NJ. Anne met the love of her life in 1977 and they married two years later in 1979, eventually making their way to Budd Lake, NJ which they have called home for the past 40 years.
Anne was a member of the Roman Catholic faith and had been a parishioner of St. Jude Thaddeus Roman Catholic Church since moving to the area 40 years ago. While her children were young Anne was a wonderful homemaker and her caring personality led her to working at a local preschool. Once the kids had grown, Anne found herself employed by the Mt. Olive Public Library as an assistant librarian.
Anne was a cat lover and enthusiast with a fiery personality; a thoughtful and kind woman who was always there for her family, whom she loved deeply. It didn't matter the time of year, she was always thinking about what gifts she could buy for her children and grandchildren. Anne loved reading a good book and dancing to doo-woop music. She liked crocheting and sunbathing on beautiful beach days.
She is survived by her spouse of 46 years Paul Anthony Capone; three children: Michael Capone, Rebecca Capone, and Maria Capone; two grandchildren: Harper and Ben; as well as two brothers, William Hambor and Timothy Hambor.
A Memorial Gathering will be held Monday, January 19, 2026 from 4:00-6:30 PM at Morgan Funeral Home, 31 Main Street, Netcong, NJ 07857. A Memorial Service will be held immediately following visiting hours at 6:30 PM at the Funeral Home. A Memorial Mass will be held Thursday, January 22, 2025 at 10:30 AM at St. Jude Thaddeus Roman Catholic Church in Budd Lake
