Anne S. Chambers, 85, passed away on Wednesday, October 18th, 2023. She was born on July 11, 1938 in London, Kentucky to Jane Dillion Sipple and Newell Sipple.
Anne exhibited kindness toward everyone she met. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother to her family. Above all else, she enjoyed spending time with her family and attending any school events or performances that her granddaughters were involved in. Her home was filled with pictures of her loved ones and she made a point to put family before anything else.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul M. Chambers whom she spent many years devotedly caring for prior to his death.
She is survived by her son, Newell Andrew ("Drew") Chambers, daughter-in-law Angela Brooks ("Angie") Chambers (whom she treated as the daughter she never had), and her granddaughters Lauren and Katie. She was also especially fond of her caregiver, Latasha Johnson, who has helped with members of the family over the last 25 years.
Visitation will be from 2-6pm on Sunday, October 22nd at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road. Funeral Service will be Monday at 11am at the funeral home followed by a graveside service at Cave Hill Cemetery.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to Hospice Services of Louisville.
