Anne L. Denefield, 92, died Monday, June 9, 2025.
Funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. FRIDAY, June 20, 2025 at New Mt. Zion A.M.E. Church with burial at Tallahassee Memory Gardens.
Survivors include four children, James E. Denefield (Emerita), Timothy P. Denefield (Ramona), Yolandra M. Wyche and Thaxter A. Denefield; one brother, Robert Toliver; one sister, Dorothy Sipio, 16 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
On behalf of the staff and management of Strong & Jones Funeral Home, Inc., we would like to extend our deepest sympathy to the family of Mrs. Anne Denefield.

Mrs. Denefield was my Science teacher at Havana Middle School; her caring nature, her professionalism and seeing her dress so nice are just some of the qualities that I remember about Mrs. Denefield. I am grateful for the time spent having her as my teacher all those many years ago, and will keep those memories close to my heart; thank you Mrs. Denefield for your many years of meritorious service and for making a positive impact in my life; rest in peace, power and praise.

Annie fought a long battle, but never wavered from her faith. She leaves a long legacy of family, friends and educational endeavors. She will be missed. Family, I extend my prayers to you. Praying that the Lord will keep you strong and faithful, knowing that Annie is now with the Father.

Hello. My deepest condolences to Mrs Denefields family. She was my homeroom teacher (8-3) was in 8th grade. She was a little sassy feisty tiny thing but she always had our best interest at heart. It´s crazy because I had looked on Google for her a few weeks ago. I found her address but didn´t want to intrude. Now I wish I would have I intruded. You taught me a lot in that year . You will truly be missed. My prayers are with you all at this time of bereavement
