Anne Peebles Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Cartmell-Davis Funeral & Cremation Service, Inc. - Manomet on Mar. 9, 2026.
Anne (Seward) Peebles

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother.

Originally from Newfoundland, Canada, she immigrated to the United States at the age of 15 and settled with her family in Medford. She was the cherished wife of the late Thomas E. Peebles, who passed away in 2013. Together, they raised their family in Rockland, MA, before retiring to Plymouth. She spent her final years as a resident of The Gables in Winchester, MA.

She was the devoted mother of Bernadette Graffeo and her husband Anthony of Medford; Linda Peters and her husband Brian of Amesbury; Thomas Michael Peebles and his wife Sheryl of Weymouth; James Peebles and his partner Tina Medeiros of Wareham; and Brian Peebles and his partner Donna Jean Glynn of Center Harbor, NH.

She was extremely proud of her ten grandchildren and cherished their visits. She was also blessed with many great-grandchildren. She was the dear sister of Helen Avery of Watertown, and was predeceased by her sisters Frances Dion and Rosalie Martin, and her brothers Jim Seward and Jim Kelly. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Our family would like to extend a special thank you to the dedicated caregivers at The Gables in Winchester for the care and community they provided her with over the years.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that you take a moment to sit down and have a cup of tea with an elder or perform a simple act of kindness in her memory.

A visitation will be held at the Cartmell-Davis Funeral Home, 619 State Rd. Plymouth (MANOMET), on Thursday, March 12th, from 10:15 am till 11:15 am. Followed by a Mass of Christian burial at St. Bonaventure's Church, Plymouth, at 11:30 am. Burial will take place at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, at 1:30 pm.
