Annette Edelson

MONROE TOWNSHIP-ANNETTE EDELSON (née Friedman) passed away on Sunday, July 20, 2025, at her home. She was 90 years old.

Raised in the Bronx, NY, she resided in Plainview with her husband and children prior to moving to Greenbriar and then Monroe Village.

Annette earned her Bachelor and Master Degrees from City College. After raising her children, she was an adjunct professor at several colleges on Long Island and then an employee of Nassau County.

Annette loved old movies, Broadway shows, museums and the music of her generation. During retirement, Annette and her husband, Arthur, enjoyed travelling especially Israel, Norway, and Australia.

Annette is predeceased by her parents, Jacob and Gertrude Friedman; her husband for over 60 years, Arthur Edelson, and her grandson, Alex.

The family is grateful for the wonderful care provided by Always Responsive Home Care, particularly, Shika, Anatalia, and Anahit, along with the support of Penn Medicine Hospice.

Annette is survived by her daughter, Laura Prusakowski, Esq., her husband, Don, of New York, NY; her son, Dr. Steve Edelson of AZ; her granddaughter, Abbey Skojec and her fiancé, Anthony Bonarrigo, of NM.

We will see you again over the rainbow.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at 1:00 pm, at Beth Israel Cemetery, 1098 Woodbridge Center Drive, Woodbridge, under the direction of MOUNT SINAI MEMORIAL CHAPELS in East Brunswick. For directions, please see "Events" listed below.
