Annette C. Maibach, age 101 ½, passed away on Monday, January 22, 2024 at Liberty Village in Peoria, IL.,
Annette was born on June 26, 1922 in Chicago, IL, a daughter of Viateur and Eleanore (Perreault) Pilon. She married Charles "Chuck" Maibach on October 20, 1945 in Peoria, IL. He preceded her in death on February 3, 2013.
Annette was active in the Peoria area her whole life. She worked as a secretary at Caterpillar from 1940-1947. She was a member of St. Philomena Catholic Church and served on the first Parish Council. She loved to travel, theater and all things musical. She was a member of the Visiting Nurses Board. She worked with the Meals on Wheels Program in Peoria. Annette was also a member of the Catholic High School Lay Board and the Catholic Women's League Board.
Annette is survived by her children, Michael Maibach of Alexandria, VA, Vickie (Stewart) Bond of Gilberts, IL, and Christine (Roger) Kapraun of Washington, IL, 7 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 3 sisters, Estelle Pilon of Arizona, Diane (Wayne) Nowlan of East Peoria and Cecile (Russ) Langford of Milwaukee, WI and brother, Jerry (Katie) Pilon of Germantown Hills, IL, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and 5 brothers, Armand, Robert, Bernard, Ronald and Jay Pilon.
Cremation Rites have been accorded and Memorial services will be on June 22, 2024 at 10:30 AM at St. Philomena Catholic Church. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM until time of service. Fr. David Richardson will officiate and inurnment will follow at Resurrection Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Patrick's Grade School in Washington, IL or the Center for Prevention of Abuse in Peoria, IL.

I met Annie eleven years ago at Fairways III in Florida. She was one of my favourites here and whenever I would tease her, her feisty side showed up and she would laughingly put me in place. May she be at peace, where we all will be soon.

Annie´s Long time Fairsways III freinds send thoughts and prayers to the family. Annie was a wonderful resident and strong presence for many years.
