Anthony "Tony" Bishop

Anthony "Tony" Bishop, age 64, of Leesburg, passed away Friday April 11, 2025, at the Ohio State University Wexner Center. He was born on January 7, 1961, in Greenfield, Ohio, the son of the late Paul and Patsy (Johnson) Bishop. Tony was a proud veteran of the United States Army, where he served his country with honor from 1982 until 1986. He attended the Leesburg Trinity Church and worked at Greenfield Research. Tony was a loving husband to his wife, Marcie. Together, they shared a deep bond, filled with cherished memories and joyful adventures. Some of their happiest times were spent traveling, exploring new places and creating lasting memories hand in hand. Tonys love for the outdoors was evident in his passion for fishing, where he found peace and contentment in the simplicity and beauty of nature. His friends and family will remember him for his warm smile, and infectious laughter. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Tony is survived by his wife, Marcie Bishop whom he married on April 7, 2007; two daughters, Jessica Miller of Chillicothe, Ohio and Rozlyn Bishop of Demasi Hollow, Ohio; five sisters, Diane Little of Missouri, Linda (Omer) Johnson of Bourneville, Ohio, Elaine (Brad) Johnson of South Salem, Julie (Bill) Rider of Croydon, Pennsylvania, Anita (Tom) Gragg of Frankfort, Ohio, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Steven Bishop. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday April 15, 2025, at the Leesburg Trinity Church. Funeral services will take place at 12:00 p.m. following visitation on Tuesday at the church. Burial, with military honors presented by the Highland County Veteran Honor Guard, will take place in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery following services. The Turner Funeral Home is serving the family.
