Encircled in the loving arms of his family, Anthony Joseph Wise departed this life on September 16, 2023. He was 49. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes, 214 S. Main St. Perry, MI. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the time of the service.
Bud, as he was affectionately nicknamed, was born August 6, 1974 to Ricky Lee and Janet Marie (Edington) Wise. He was always considered a special gift to them. Anthony was predeceased by his parents; his maternal grandparents, Leroy and Harriette Edington; paternal grandmother, Patricia Ann Wise; uncles Richard Edington and Perry Wise; and nephew, Nathan Scott.
While growing up, Bud attended special classes in Shiawassee County where he made many friends amongst his peers and teachers and their families.
Despite his many challenges (which he faced like a warrior), Bud enjoyed many adventures that many never do. He loved his plane ride to Las Vegas and a cruise to the Bahamas. Time spent outdoors and camping trips with family were his favorite times.
The presence of his nieces and nephews always lit up his face.
He was a big fan of tacos, but not so much about socks. He loved his daily "wrestling" match and almost always won. Swimming always made him happy. Music was a constant companion to Bud; Bob Seger's "Old Time Rock 'n Roll" always his number one song.
Anthony is survived and forever loved by his devoted sisters, Ann Marie Wise, Marie Wise Scott and Michelle Lee Wise, all of Perry; nieces Bailey Warwick (Spencer), Heidi Scott (Chanda), Grace Wise and nephews Caleb Wise and Kyree Scott; grandfather, Joseph Wise (Patsy) of Clyo GA; 3 aunts, an uncle and many cousins.
Bud touched countless people's lives and leaves so many happy memories for us to cherish. For his part in our lives, we will be forever grateful.
Run fast and jump high, Bud and look, look, look!
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Anthony's honor may be made to the Cerebral Palsy Foundation.
